Director of Aspen East Stables and therapeutic services
Jessica has been involved with horses since childhood. She graduated SUNY Delhi, in NY in 1999, with an AAS in veterinary technology and went on to become a NYS licensed Veterinary Technician. Later in life she transitioned to working with at risk teens and families to help get kids on track for lifetime success with the Liberty Partnership Program of NY. After years of on-the-job experience Jessica decided it was time to expand on her skills and completed formal training earning a BA and MA in psychology/counseling psychology, from Johnson State College in Vermont (now known as Northern Vermont College). In the course of her career Jessica has held positions as an Emergency Crisis Clinician, Hospital Diversion Clinician, Therapist, Clinical Director of the Howard Center Chittenden Clinic, and as the Regional Partnership Program Manager for Lund/DCF. Currently Jessica consults and keeps a small private therapy practice. In her time in the field, Jessica has worked extensively with a range of challenges, and a thread that frequently surfaces is trauma. Merging her passion for horses and healing is the culmination of decades of work/training and planning.
